Accessibility

Equivalent pathways belong in the design.

Learning access includes different formats, devices, bandwidth, schedules, and ways to show understanding.

Content

Text, structured tables, captions, transcripts, visual descriptions, and accessible documents carry the same learning purpose.

Participation

Live, asynchronous, text first, mobile, and low bandwidth pathways connect learners to the same module outcomes.

Evidence

Written, audio, and captioned video explanations use the same rubric and evidence standard.

Learner experience

Access information appears before the activity.

  • Session materials identify format, timing, tools, and data boundaries.
  • Lab activities include an offline or alternate format pathway.
  • Keyboard access, readable contrast, clear headings, and visible focus support navigation.
  • Captions and transcripts support virtual instruction and recorded material.

Support and exceptions

Active learners use the accessibility route in the learner workspace. Human review handles accessibility exceptions and records the decision without changing the learner’s dignity or privacy boundary.
